Office Manager Job Description

Summary:

     Seeking office manager of busy pediatric practice in San Antonio, Texas.  Management of practices of 4 full time pediatricians:  Renee Cevey, MD, Graham Hall, MD, John Fitch, Jr., MD, and Joshua Tardy, MD.

Requirements:

·         Healthcare group management experience or healthcare specific business training (MBA/MHA/ACMPE preferred)

·         Availability early to mid-2012

·         Eager to problem solve and implement impending changes in healthcare while maintaining a traditional medical group model

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

I.     Reporting

a.        Reports directly to 4 physician team.  No mid-level providers.

II.                 Billing Office Oversight (2.5 billing office employees)

a.        Conduct contract negotiations, analysis, and upkeep with insurers

b.       Improve billing cycle processes

                                       i.      Minimize A/R, personal/insurance ratio’s, write off’s, rejections

                                       ii.      Increase automation processes

                                       iii.      Problem solve system error

III.   Patient/Customer relations

a.        Handle payment disputes as necessary

b.       Improve personal billing processes

IV.   Human Resources

a.        Employee benefits management

                                       i.      Health, dental, retirement as appropriate

b.       Staff education

c.        Does not include hiring and firing duties currently

V.    Manage Laboratory and PLLC accounts

VI.   IT Oversight

a.        Maintain current billing software management system

b.       Serve on team to select future EMR system

c.        Implementation tasks

                                       i.      EMR

                                       ii.      ICD-10

                                       iii.     Other regulatory changes (ARA, ACO’s, HIPAA, etc)

VII.  Compliance Oversight

          a.       Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, TWC
