PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR – San Antonio EPA, PA (also known
as Emergency Physicians Affiliates or EPA) is searching for a well-qualified
person for a growing emergency medicine practice that has been in business
since 1974. The person currently in this position is retiring in
August 2012 after 18 years with the company. The ideal candidate
will have at least an undergraduate degree, and preferably a graduate degree in
healthcare administration or health services management. The ideal
candidate should be board certified, or a Fellow, in practice management via
the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). The
ideal candidate will have expertise in all major areas identified as “domains”
by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), such as personnel
management, operational management, financial management, information
management, and governance. Interpersonal skills are critical to success since
the ideal candidate must interact with a large physician and midlevel provider
group, as well as with hospital administration and emergency department
leadership. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent
negotiation skills for insurance contracting.
