Summer Interns
Healthcare Management Consultants
Looking for an
opportunity to test some of that newly acquired textbook knowledge in the real
world?
ECG
offers a challenging and rewarding internship experience where you will work
alongside our talented team of consultants, gaining invaluable industry
exposure and a wealth of knowledge.
We get our own coffee.
As
an intern for ECG, you are part of the team:
a resource to be leveraged, not simply someone to push paper. Our consultants are invested in your success
and will put you on a steep learning curve through project work and one-on-one
mentoring. You will gain a greater
understanding of how we as consultants help our clients improve the delivery of
healthcare, as well as a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment because you
will make meaningful contributions to client projects.
The
professional environment at ECG offers guidance through a small-team structure,
while providing you with a degree of autonomy that recognizes your skills and
talents and gives you ownership of projects and work products.
Work hard. Play hard.
It
is not all work and no play throughout the summer at ECG. All consultant interns are invited to our
annual summer conference, which provides an excellent opportunity for learning,
as well as socializing during many firm-sponsored adventures and events. This year, we will head for Washington, DC. Additionally, some of our consultant interns
have ridden with Team ECG in the Courage Classic, a 173‑mile bike ride
over three mountain passes in the Cascades.
The payoff.
It
is our hope that ECG interns will develop an increased awareness of, and
interest in, the opportunities and issues facing the healthcare industry, as
well as how ECG assists its clients in addressing these matters. Should a full-time opportunity with ECG
present itself after your graduate studies, the internship can serve as a
valuable platform from which to launch your consulting career and hit the
ground running. Also, some of our previous
interns, now employees of ECG, have felt that their internship proved very
helpful in tailoring classes for their final year. On the lighter side, we hope that you can
look back on your experience as a positive, dare we say fun, time.
