Ostensibly devoted to games, this magazine covers a wide range of topics related to digital culture. Some of the smartest, funniest writing about technology you can find anywhere. Better than Wired magazine in its heydey, which is saying quite a bit.

Wired

Fourteen years ago, the first issue of Wired Magazine hit the newsstands. Science fiction writer Bruce Sterlin appeared on the cover. This magazine clearly reflects the optimistic, libertarian, and transgressive spirit associated with Northern California. Many feel that the magazine jumped the shark during the dot.com boom, but it seems to have regained some of its spunky spirit during the past two years.
