Thailand Gaming Project : Overview
Welcome to the web site of the Thailand Gaming Project!
In June/July 2006, this two-month research project will study the world of on-line gaming in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. We will speak with young people who play multiplayer games such as Ragnarok Online, Lineage, and TS Online. We also hope to speak with game-shop owners, parents, and game designers.
If you would like to be part of this project, we would love to speak with you. All interview participants will receive 100 baht in exchange for their time. If you would like to join us, please contact Ms. Horn at lakkhana@lannasoftworks.com.
Some of our questions include:
- What on-line games do you like?
- Where do you play on-line games?
- How often do you play?
- What type of character? Are you a monk? A paladin? Something else?
- What do you think about the recent gaming regulations?
- What do you like best about these games?
After the project is completed, results will be posted on this web site in Thai and English for everyone to see.
