The Trinity University Library staff planned and carried out a successful orientation program in the Fall of 2002. Using a scavenger hunt that carried the theme Voyage to Information@your library, we were delighted to host c550 of the 700 new students during a two-day period in the official orientation week. The sub-theme for the hunt was Frankenstein, to set the stage for the ALA traveling exhibit “Frankenstein:Penetrating the Secrets of Nature” which was coming to Trinity in February 2003. We emphasized having fun by using a game motif, small prizes for everyone, balloons everywhere, friendly staff, and lively clues that focused on Frankenstein.
