Briefly describe what you do   

A lot of everything! The most important goal of Applications Engineering is giving customers a good experience working with us. For me personally, that means one minute I'm training engineers how to be polite and courteous on the phone, the next minute

What other jobs have you had?


I've been with the same company since I graduated from Trinity 10+ years ago. I started as an Applications engineer taking calls and supporting customers, but have spent most of my career in various management positions in the department.

What are the key skills, abilities, and personal qualities necessary to succeed in this type of work?  


The technical skills have to be there, but the most successful engineers can not only explain the concepts well, but also apply them in creative ways to obscure problems. Good communication skills and a proactive, always willing to learn and try new thin

What do you enjoy most about your current position?  


Every day poses a new challenge. With a new challenge I always have a new learning opportunity. learning and overcoming challenges is the best reward you will ever have.
