Briefly describe what you do
|
I practice civil business litigation. Around
75% is connected to the insurance industry, whether through
insurance policy coverage analysis, direct defense of insurance
carriers or defense of policyholders. The remaining time is spent
on a variety of commercial disputes and business tort. I practice
in all Texas state courts and all Federal courts located in Texas at
both the trial and appellate level. |

personal qualities necessary to succeed in this type of work?
|
To practice law, you must have strong
analytical skills and effective communication abilities. In other
words, you need to know how to think and how to write.
Additionally, you must be confident in your judgment, quick on your
feet and willing to stand up for your client, in all kinds of
situations. |

What do you enjoy most about your current
position?
|
The analytical aspect. Every case presents
unique challenges and issues. I enjoy analyzing the issues,
planning for contingencies, designing the game plan and then putting
it into motion. Also, deposing people and trying cases is
tremendous fun. |
