I oversee the marketing, public relations,
advertising functions of our nonprofit organization. I also have
responsibility for managing our board of directors and am a member of
the organization's development (fundraising) team. |

willingness to embrace a sometimes erratic schedule. |

What do you enjoy most about your current
position?
|
I enjoy the variety of work this position offers,
the platform to have a voice in the community and the opportunity to
improve the lives of the citizens and youth we serve. |

Most important/valuable lesson or activity in
college that impacted your career
|
I think the wisest decision I made as a student
was to seek out meaningful internships. Through my internships, I
discovered a professional passion that stays with me to this day. |

What advice for someone entering this field?
|
Work hard to develop the contacts that can serve
you throughout your career. At the same time, it is critical to
develop your writing and other professional skills that will help you
excel in the work to which those contacts may lead. |
