Briefly describe what you do   

 

I provide assistance to colleges and universities in other countries who would like to send students to the United States for specialized technical training in a college setting.   I also teach technical writing courses.

What other jobs have you had?

 

Public and Community Relations:  Each job I have served in since leaving Trinity has had some form of public and community relations.  In my current job, I am taking our community beyond the borders of our country.

What are the key skills, abilities, and personal qualities necessary to succeed in this type of work?    

Planning, Goal Setting, Excellent Time Management Skills, Good Communications Skills and Patience.

What do you enjoy most about your current position?  

 

Meeting new people and sharing what our company has to offer with the world.  I also enjoy watching students progress far beyond their dreams.

Most important/valuable lesson or activity in college that impacted your career  

 

Excellent planning and good time management skills.  Trinity brought in some of the top Public Relations Specialist during my Communications courses to share their knowledge and experiences

What advice for someone entering this field?

 

Plan to work hard and far beyond the typical nine to five job.  Other nations are quickly catching up with our success and today's college graduate has to work harder in all fields if this country is to remain as the powerhouse it is today.
