Briefly describe what you do
|
I own and manage TrinAca Investment
Corp which is a parent company to multiple other
investment entities in the oil and gas exploration
field. Our website gives more details. |
|
What other jobs have you had?
|
"Summer Field work
with Halliburton Oilfield Services
Land Manager for Ramsey Petroleum Co." |
|
What are the key skills, abilities, and personal
qualities necessary to succeed in this type of work?
|
An entrepreneurial spirit, not afraid
of risks...it helped to be 3rd generation in my
family in this business, I will admit. |
|
What do you enjoy most about your current position?
|
The freedom to explore new
possibilities without having to answer to a large
corporate structure. |
|
Most important/valuable lesson or activity in
college that impacted your career
|
Interaction with a local SA law firm
that ended up producing an investor for my father's
company. |
|
What advice for someone entering this field?
|
Don't go into oil and gas thinking
it's an easy way to get rich; contrary to what the
public thinks, this is a hard way to make a living,
but can be very rewarding. Surround yourself with
extremely knowledgeable people...we are not nearly
as "brilliant"
