Worlds Ultimate 3D Chat Plus: I haven't tried this, but am struck by the similarities to Stephenson's Snow Crash: 3D virtual worlds, animated icons called "avatars," . . . Apparently you "subscribe" rather than just buying the software and then connecting at will.
