Royal Family
In the center of the picture are the king, queen, crown prince and princess of Norway,
as seen from our hotel window in Trondheim. The royal family was in Trondheim to celebrate
the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the current royal family.

Nidaros Cathedral, Trondheim
I went to St. Olaf College; this is where St. Olaf's shrine is located.
(It's also where King Haakon VII was crowned on June 22, 1906, after being offered
the throne by the Norwegian parliament in November, 1905. This is the coronation whose
anniversary was being celebrated while we were there.)

Cathedral Detail
There are some odd things on that cathedral!

Another View from the Hotel Window
Note the large stage in the upper center of the picture, and the huge TV screen to its right
showing what is happening on stage. The music went on every night until midnight.
(And judging by the laughter, shouting, and singing, the partying went on much longer!)

More of the Celebration
There were a lot of marching bands!
