At the Bahnhof in
Zürich
Monday morning, May 23. We look like zombies because we had been traveling
all night. We picked up our rental van at the airport and drove into
Zürich, parking at a large underground garage near the Bahnhof, then
walked over to the Bahnhof to use the cash machine. |

Walking in Zürich
You can see the Church of St.
Peter in the background (largest clock face in Europe). I didn't even
notice the "English Books" sign until looking at these photos later!

Zürich: View of the Limmat from the Lindenhof
By this point we had run out of steam and
were ready to go to our hotel, but at least we saw a little of
Zürich!
(From here we took a quick look at the Roman ruins and at the organ and
Chagall windows at Fraumünster, then walked back to our rental car and
drove to
the hotel in Adliswil, just outside Zurich.)

Near the Hotel
Tuesday morning we took a nice
walk near the hotel.

At the Chalet in
Lauterbrunnen
Later on Tuesday, we drove to Lauterbrunnen and
started settling in at our chalet, where we stayed for the rest of the
trip

And the first of many pictures
