At the Edinburgh Castle

View from our Apartment in Edinburgh
the apartment was just around the corner from the Royal Mile

Foreground: Parliament House; Background: Holyrood Park
taken just before we hiked up the hill you see in the background

Another View of Parliament House
It's a controversial building, apparently. Matthew and I loved it.

View of Edinburgh from Holyrood Park
after climbing most of the way up to Arthur's Seat

Holyrood Park
as we were coming back down after our hike

Punched Cards on a Jacquard Loom in the Museum of Scotland
Great museum. I stared at this loom for a long time, but never did figure out how the cards work.

Another View of the Jacquard Loom
Punched cards are at the top; the yellow-and-black is the silk that's being woven

Paneling from a House that David Hume Lived in
also in the Museum of Scotland

With Karen in the Princes Street Gardens
