Welcome to Campus
Publications.
The Trinitonian newspaper and the Mirage
yearbook are great ways to get insight into Trinity life.
Did you know that both the Trinitonian and the Mirage
are fully run by students? Yes, students decide the content of the
publications and manage the budgets for each. Whether you want to write,
promote, take pictures, or sell advertising space, you can be a part of
Campus Publications.
For employment information, please explore the links on
this page. Advertising rates, mail subscription information, feedback
information, and a Request for Coverage form are also available here.
Campus
Publications Oversight
The eight-member Board of Campus Publications oversees the
Campus Publications program. The preamble to the Board’s charter acknowledges
the University’s commitment to the free exchange of student ideas and
opinions and the University’s recognition “that the student press has a
fundamental right to determine the content of its own publications free from
censorship and threat of reprisal, suspension, or removal from office.
However, Trinity University also expects that the student press will conduct
its business in a professional and responsible manner, adhering to the canons
of journalism and business ethics. . . .” Faculty, an administrator, and
students serve on the Board.
Coordinator for Student-edited Publications Katharine
Martin serves as liaison between the Board and Campus Publications staff and
as advisor to the students employed by Campus Publications.
Faculty members interested in serving on the Board should
contact the Faculty Senate. Students should contact the president of the
Association of Student Representatives.
