Rush

Unlike many institutions, Trinity's sororities and fraternities do not accept new members until the spring semester. Additionally, formal rush does not start until October 9. We want our students to acclimate themselves to Trinity's academics before taking on the responsibilities of membership.

There are rush events throughout the fall semester and the beginning of the spring semester. Typically the sororities each host two formal parties in the fall and one formal party in the spring. The fraternities each host one formal party in the fall and one formal party in the spring. In addition to the large rush events, there are a number of informal events put on by each of the fraternities and sororities so that potential new members have an opportunity to meet the current members in the organizations. Although participation in fall rush is not a requirement to join a fraternity or sorority, we highly encourage potential new members to find out as much as possible about each organization so that the student can find his or her best fit.

Our organizations have very unique character, so get to know each of the organizations to find which one is best for you. Greek life offers the opportunity to get to know a small group closely. Because our organizations average 15 to 40 members, there is an opportunity to form close bonds to your class, younger and older members, as well as alumni.
