Math Placement Exam

The mathematics assessment will be administered online beginning Monday, June 15.  All students, except those who have earned Calculus AP credit, should take the mathematics assessment so that your advisor may help guide you to the most appropriate mathematics course for you.  You may take it at any time, to suit your convenience.  We encourage you to take the test early so that you will have the opportunity to study and take the retest should you not place at the level you feel is appropriate.  Please be sure to complete it by midnight, Sunday August 16 Sample questions are also available.  To take the exam, go to https://tlearn.trinity.edu/login/index.php and log in using your user name and password (the same user name and password that you use to access Tiger’sLair).  On the left, under My Courses, click on Math Placement Exams.  Here you will find detailed instructions about taking the assessment, and, if needed, taking the retest.   Students who have taken calculus in high school but have not received AP credit for calculus may want to take the Calculus II Readiness Exam.  Details for this exam are also available in the Math Placement Exams course.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at math@trinity.edu.
