Academic Assistance

Skills Coaching

Some students request assistance for a specific concerns in areas such as concentration, procrastination, test preparation, test taking, and time management.  Others benefit from taking the LASSI, the Learning and Study Skills Inventory, which assesses the student’s strengths and weaknesses in 10 areas.  Results from the LASSI help the student and counselor target the student’s weakest skills.

Accommodations

Students who have documented disabilities and need academic accommodations may make an appointment with the staff member who coordinates Disability Services for Students (DSS).  Students who suspect they may have a disability can contact DSS for a consultation and referrals to off-campus specialists who can provide disability evaluations.

Advising & Tutoring

Faculty advisors provide academic advising for currently enrolled students.  Prospective students who have questions concerning academics at Trinity should contact the Office of Admissions.

Trinity does not offer a formal tutoring program.  A student who needs tutoring in a specific course should consult the professor and the academic departmental office for the names of students who are available to offer tutoring.
