Crisis Information

Trinity Students

When a Trinity student is in crisis and the Counseling Services office is open, the student may:

·         See a counselor without an appointment during walk-in hours

·         Call 210-999-7411 or come to the office (215 Coates University Center) and state the need to see a counselor as soon as possible.  The first-available counselor will see the student.

When a Trinity student is in crisis and the Counseling Services office is closed, contact one of the following to page the on-call crisis counselor during fall and spring semesters:

·         Any Residential Life Coordinator

·         Campus Security (210-999-7000)

·         Health Services (210-999-8111)

All Others

If you are in the San Antonio area, call the 24-Hour Bexar County Crisis Line:  210-223-7233.

In case of suicidal thoughts or intentions, call 1-800-SUICIDE (784-2433).

If you are concerned about suicidal risk, violence risk, or a significant deterioration in functioning for yourself or someone else who resides in San Antonio, call 911 and ask for a “CIT Officer” (CIT: Crisis Intervention Team--officers with 40 hours of mental health training)
