Description: The emphasis in the course will be the development of fundamental principles of   Quantum Theory and its applications to Atomic and Molecular Structure and   Spectroscopy, along with an introduction to Statistical Thermodynamics.

Grading:   Final grades will be based on four exams (80% of grade) and one final comprehensive exam (20% of grade).  Grading is subjective with partial credit being given at the discretion of the instructor.  Regular attendance is expected.
