- The 11th-ranked Trinity
Tigers continued to roll at the SCAC East-West Tournament with a 25-14,
25-12, 25-14 victory Saturday over the Sewanee Tigers at DePauw
University.
Earlier in the
day, Trinity beat Centre 3-1.
The Tigers (14-3,
6-0 SCAC) wrap up the tournament Sunday with two matches. Trinity takes
on host DePauw at 11 a.m. Eastern Time and 18th-ranked Southwestern at 1
p.m.
Junior setter
Caiti Troyer registered 26 assists and nine digs against Sewanee. Senior
outside hitter Amy Mittelstaedt had 10 kills and senior middle blocker
Aly Hazelwood accounted for three aces. First-year outside hitter
McKenzie Forbes contributed three blocks.
The Tigers hit
.342 (36 kills, 11 errors, 73 total attacks) in the match. |
