Hazelwood produced a .351 hitting percentage at last weekend’s SCAC West-Central Tournament, hosted by Trinity.

The defending conference champion Tigers (12-3, 4-0 SCAC), who went 4-0 at the event, are now ranked No. 11 in the nation, by the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III poll. Trinity, previously ranked 14th, had a 3-1 win over then-No. 11 Colorado College.

Hazelwood accounted for 21 blocks in the four matches, averaging 1.62 per set. She also recorded seven aces (.54 per set) and finished with only five errors in 57 total attempts. Hazelwood totaled 25 kills in 13 sets (1.92 per set).

In the Colorado College match, Hazelwood finished with 10 kills and a .350 hitting percentage, along with a season-high nine blocks.

Trinity, led by head coach Julie Jenkins, will compete Saturday and Sunday at the SCAC East-West Tournament at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.

Aly Hazelwood earned her first SCAC Player of the Week award for leading the Tigers to the top of the SCAC standings
