Professional Development Schools
The five-year teacher education program at Trinity is conducted in partnership with educators from selected elementary and secondary public schools, called Professional Development Schools. Trinity students in teacher education complete two practicum experiences in these schools during the undergraduate years, and in the fifth year complete a year-long internship in one of the schools. Mentor Teachers from the schools are identified each year to work with Trinity's Interns in Teaching, and a Clinical Faculty from the Department of Education is assigned to each campus.
