Professional Development Schools

The five-year teacher education program at Trinity is conducted in partnership with educators from selected elementary and secondary public schools, called Professional Development Schools. Trinity students in teacher education complete two practicum experiences in these schools during the undergraduate years, and in the fifth year complete a year-long internship in one of the schools. Mentor Teachers from the schools are identified each year to work with Trinity's Interns in Teaching, and a Clinical Faculty from the Department of Education is assigned to each campus.

Trinity University has forged an outstanding working relationship with the Professional Development Schools, and this model represents an effective partnership.
