The Robert Noyce Scholarship program, authorized under the National Science Foundation Authorization Act, seeks to encourage talented science, technology and mathematics majors to become elementary, middle and high school teachers by offering scholarships of up to $10,000 per year for up to two years. Up to ten scholarships are awarded to qualified seniors and post-baccalaureate candidates in their M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching) year.

Noyce Scholars will join Trinity's teacher preparation program and complete the MAT before entering the teaching profession. Successful candidates must commit contractually to teach in high-need public schools for a minimum of two years for each year of funding. Click here to view the Novce Brochure

Selection Criteria

• GPA overall and within the major
• Ability to be an effective role model for students
• Intellectual and pedagogical potential
• Undergraduate major in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Technology (STEM)

Who Should Apply

Juniors or seniors at Trinity University majoring in the sciences, technology or math who are committed to becoming teachers.

Individuals from Trinity or other universities applying for the post-baccalaureate M.A.T. program whose undergraduate major was in science, technology or mathematics.
