How to Delete a Course
-
Complete a “Proposal to Create, Revise, or Delete
a Course”
-
Department or program chair must contact appropriate
departments (from the relevant disciplinary group) for feedback and
endorsement; note on the “Proposal to Create, Revise, or Delete a
Course” form the departments to which the proposal was routed. Courses
deleted by an interdisciplinary program must be routed to the most
logical disciplinary group.
-
Submit “Proposal to Create, Revise, or Delete a Course”
form and any additional materials to the AVPAA for Faculty Recruitment
and Development and to the UCC Secretary.
-
Verify that the course has been added to the UCC agenda.
-
A departmental or program representative may wish to
attend the UCC meeting to respond to any questions and (if necessary) to
relay UCC concerns back to the department or program.
-
Note: If the course deletion requires changes to the
Courses of Study bulletin beyond the removal of the course listing,
be sure also to follow the steps outlined in “How to Revise a
Departmental or Interdisciplinary (Minor or Major) Curriculum.”
