Trinity University is an independent, liberal arts and sciences university of approximately 2500 students located in San Antonio, Texas. Founded by Presbyterians in 1869, Trinity's first campus was located in Tehuacana, Texas and was subsequently relocated to Waxahachie, Texas (1902), to the near West side of San Antonio (1942), and to its present campus overlooking the San Antonio skyline (1952). Although governed by an independent Board of Trustees, Trinity maintains a covenant relationship with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
With an endowment over $540 million, the university provides outstanding academic resources and facilities on a campus overlooking the San Antonio skyline.
Trinity's commitment to educating undergraduates is evidenced by offering over thirty majors, pre-professional programs, and interdisciplinary studies, as well as providing small classes and significant interaction with distinguished faculty. Additionally, students participate in over 100 organizations, including student publications, student government, service organizations, honor societies, and local sororities and fraternities.
Trinity is a setting in which bright young people flourish in a community committed to the highest standards of academic excellence and leadership. |
