ADJUSTING TO COLLEGE LIFE
Your child is probably full of excitement about making the transition to college life. At Trinity, we treat your first year student like a responsible adult, yet we'll still ease him or her into what is probably their first experience being on their own.
"You don't want your kids to feel like they're totally on their own when they leave home for college. When a student comes to Trinity, the university understands a sacred trust is being transferred to them. Students are well taken care of, but still given the opportunity to be responsible, and to grow and stretch their wings.
"First Year Move-In Day is a great example of all the help and support students and their parents can expect at Trinity. Everyone is so friendly, and the entire campus pitches in to get the freshmen settled."

Orientation:
Trinity's week-long
New
Student Orientation, which takes place
just before the fall semester begins, will ensure that your child
is familiarized with campus, introduced to his or her classmates
and professors, and acquainted with the myriad of academic and
personal enrichment opportunities available. So, before new
Trinity students even attend one class, they've had the
opportunity to make new friends, get settled into their residence
hall room, and learn what is expected of them as a Trinity
student.
Living on Campus:
All Trinity students live on campus for their first three years,
so your child is assured a stimulating, yet safe environment that
encourages both independence and responsibility. And because
freshmen are housed together, and both roommates and suitemates
are hand matched by our experienced residence life staff, chances
are your child will get along famously.

Supportive College Community:
Talented students from all backgrounds find Trinity's academic
and extracurricular opportunities embracing, but as a parent, you
also want to be sure that your son or daughter will fit in, make
friends, and be happy. Our small, residential
campus
has an intimate, supportive environment that will facilitate your
child's adjustment to college, yet our
San Antonio setting
provides all the urban benefits a university student could want.
"Ellen felt comfortable on campus right away. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and she's had wonderful opportunities to become involved. These are the things that make up the culture of Trinity. We couldn't have written a better college scenario!"
