CREDIT BY EXAM

A maximum of 36 semester hours may be acquired toward your Trinity degree through credit by examination. Both scores are accepted.

Generally, Trinity awards credit for AP examination scores of 4 or better, and IB Higher Level Examination scores of 5 or better, although there are several exceptions to this policy. Credit earned by examination satisfies degree requirements in the same way as does credit earned by passing a Trinity course, except that it does not count as credit earned in residence. Any credits earned through examination may not be duplicated by subsequent enrollment in an equivalent course.
