LIVING ON CAMPUS
Campus life at Trinity provides a dynamic backdrop for learning—allowing students to form lifelong friendships and to explore their talents and interests in a supportive, comfortable environment.
Residence Halls
Trinity University has a close-knit residential community where 79% of undergraduates live in campus housing.
All of the University's spacious, modern, air-conditioned residence
hall rooms are configured in two-room suites that share one bath,
and feature large closets, built-in desks, carpeting, a
refrigerator and microwave, and telephone, cable TV, and computer
network access. Each suite has access to an outdoor walkway or
balcony, many even overlooking the city skyline or offer scenic
vistas of the campus, so students can enjoy San Antonio's beautiful
climate year-round. There's even a housekeeping service that cleans
all residence hall rooms and bathrooms every two weeks. We
challenge you to find campus housing anywhere that's more
comfortable and spacious than ours. Click

First year students are housed together, with all roommates and suitemates carefully matched by our experienced residential life staff. Upper class students choose their own roommates. All students are guaranteed University housing, and can opt to reside in special learning communities, where those who share a common interest live on a residence hall floor together for such pursuits as Chinese language immersion, substance-free living, and Trinity Elects, which is for students interested in politics and social issues. First year students who elect to take the comprehensive HUMA 1600 - Readings from Western Culture course may even choose to live with their classmates in the same residence hall, giving them an opportunity for peer-learning and shared study.

Campus Life
Because Trinity is a residential campus, all first years,
sophomores, and juniors are required to live in University
housing, and about 30% of seniors choose to remain in the
residence halls as well. Our residency requirements reflect the
University's philosophy about keeping students connected with
their campus community. When students choose to attend Trinity,
they select not only to be enrolled in our classes, but also to
be active members of the University community—to reside here, eat
here, and be involved in campus life. This assures them a
stimulating yet safe environment which encourages independence,
responsibility, and civic engagement. Click

To help first year students get settled in, they attend a week long New Student Orientation, which takes place just before classes begin. During orientation students will become familiarized with the campus, socialize with classmates, meet their professors, and get acquainted with the University's many opportunities for academic and personal enrichment. Trinity enjoys a vibrant and involved campus community with a diverse assortment of activities that take place both during the week and on weekends. Click here to explore the University's Event Calendar.
Since most students do not leave campus on weekends, there is always an abundance of activities, and plenty of people to join you. Additionally, the Residential Life Office offers a variety of programs to build campus camaraderie, including a residence hall athletic tournament called Hallympics, Trinity night at the Spurs, and a massive Fall Celebration.
