Student Profile

Nationally recognized as a selective admissions institution, Trinity students come from every region of the country and around the world. They are highly motivated and eager to involve themselves in the academic curriculum and the abundant mix of cultural, social, and extracurricular activities on the Trinity campus.

Of the 634 students in the class of 2007:

  • The middle-fifty percent range on the standardized testing

    SAT: 1220-1370
    ACT: 26-30

  • 42 were valedictorians or salutatorians
  • 48% from the top 10% of their high school class; 80% from top 20%
  • 74% from public schools and 26% from private schools
  • More than 21% are from an ethnic minority background
  • Over one-third are from outside of Texas
  • 340 earned merit based awards
  • 78% receive financial assistance
  • Many were class presidents, yearbook editors, varsity team captains & actors
  • Many have performed community volunteer work, among other things.

Of approximately 2,300 undergraduate students:

  • 78% live on campus
  • 48 states are represented, along with 30 foreign countries
  • The most well-represented states are Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, Oklahoma, California, and Colorado.
  • 23% are from an ethnic minority background
