Former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf will headline the Trinity University Distinguished Lecture Series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, in Laurie Auditorium. His lecture is free and open to the public, but tickets are required and will be limited to two tickets per person. Cooley, the Prassel Distinguished Professor of Business Administration, but the highlight of his summer was being in New York to ring the opening and closing bells for two stock exchanges. more>>
Trinity University to Host Geothermal Symposium in September
Geothermal energy is clean, cool, and fuel-free. Given San Antonio’s debate about how to meet increasing power needs, the Geothermal Symposium scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19 is timely. The session will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the campus of Trinity University in the Chapman Center Auditorium. However, check-in and breakfast begin at 8 a.m. more>

Trinity University Geoscientist Awarded Early CAREER Grant from National Science Foundation
Kathleen Surpless, assistant professor of geosciences at Trinity University, may be a sedimentary geologist by academic training, but her passion is solving puzzles. Not just any puzzles, but those comprised of rocks – once covered by oceans – but now exposed to the atmospheric elements after having been “sliced and diced” by Earth movements for millions of years. more>>
