We realize that some of you may live afar, but if you are in town during the Alumni Weekend, please make every effort to join us. Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is very important for an accurate food count and other planning purposes.

Seven Alumni to be Inducted into Trinity Athletic Hall of Fame

Seven Tiger alumni, from five sports, will be honored on Saturday, Nov. 7, at E.M. Stevens Stadium during the Trinity football game with Centre College. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m., and the induction ceremony for the sixth class of the Hall of Fame is slated for halftime. more>>

Mark Larson, a triple-degreed alumnus of Trinity University who is a high-profile voice for education reform, has been named the 2009 Outstanding Young Alumnus for his work in the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) among San Antonio schools. more>>

In Memoriam - Paul Baker

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Paul Baker ’32, professor emeritus of speech and drama at Trinity, who gained national recognition for his work in theater and drama education and who was the founding artistic director of the Dallas Theater Center. He died Sunday, Oct. 25, at the age of 98 in a hospital near his central Texas ranch close to Waelder. more>>

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Rosalind Phillips, professor emerita of music at Trinity. She died Monday, Oct. 26, at the age of 89 in San Antonio. more>>

Trinity University Earns Two First-Place Finishes in Recycling Competition among Texas Colleges 

Trinity University is a leader among 27 Texas colleges and universities that took part in the 2009 RecycleMania competition. Trinity won first-place awards in two categories that encourage colleges to limit food waste and to collect plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Trinity placed second in the category of cardboard recycling and took a third-place finish in the waste minimization category. more>>
