Hello from the Alumni Office! 

Ten alumni chapter cities throughout the country held their annual "Making Connections" events during the winter break.  Whether you participated in one of these events or missed this year's "Making Connections," you won't want to miss the wrap-up report.  In February, alumni in 12 chapter cities will unite in the spirit of serving their local communities through “Trinity Cares,” the second annual nationwide service project.  Check out the event calendar for a service project near you and sign up today!  

Trinity University Alumni Association honored Kenneth Smith ’65 with the Spirit of Trinity Award and Stephen Butt ’77 with the Distinguished Alumnus Award on January 28 during a dinner in the Great Hall. More>>

Trinity Cares
Trinity University alumni chapters across the country have joined efforts with local charities to give back as part of Trinity Cares, the second annual nationwide service project. From Seattle to Washington D.C., Trinity alumni will volunteer serving food to those in need, cleaning up parks and nature trails, and spending time with abused and neglected children. more>>>

General Colin L. Powell, USA (Retired), will discuss “Diplomacy: Persuasion, Trust, and Values” during the 2011 Flora Cameron Lecture on Politics and Public Affairs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, in Laurie Auditorium. more>>>

Trinity Soccer Facilities Undergoing Renovations

Construction began over the holiday break on the Timothy “Tito” Isom Memorial Center, which will include a press box with upgraded filming and webcasting capabilities. The Isom Center is named for the late Tito Isom – a former men’s soccer standout from 1994-98 who died unexpectedly in September 2000. more>>>

Challenge Grant Honors Butch Newman
When Butch Newman ’65 met Al Hill Jr. ’67 at age 13, little did he know it was the beginning of a life-long relationship of mutual respect and friendship. Now Hill has honored his good friend and former teammate with a $1.3 million challenge grant to renovate both the varsity and Delavan tennis courts. more>>>
