I am thrilled to announce my recent engagement to Dan Robillard! He asked me to marry him on a wonderfully romantic night in December in New York City. We're planning a late summer/early fall wedding in El Paso, Texas. Dan is a Sound Engineer and is currently heading up the Broadway show "Wonderful Town."  I was very excited to have my Broadway debut in December, even though the show has since closed! I am currently working on recording a new original album, and pursuing the Broadway dream. My TU business degree is coming in handy as I've got a management postion at the Hilton Theatre where the show "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" will open in the spring. I hope everyone is doing well and I would love to hear from friends! Take care everyone!

This post is a bit delinquent, but I have a New Years resolution to get back in touch with people, so here goes…  I finished my MBA at Duke in May and moved to Chicago help start Pariveda Solutions, an IT consultancy that specializes in helping IT organizations run more like businesses.  The rest of my company, including Jim Smelley ’95, is based in Dallas, so I spend a lot of time in big D as well.  Chicago is so fun and I’m having a great time starting this company.  I’d love to hear from anyone!

Martina, her husband Johnny, and their daughter Hannah recently moved to Houston where Martina is now employed as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney. Hannah will be 2 years old in March.

Jo Ann Currey Hauger, Class of 1993

Jo Ann Currey Hauger, and husband Bryan, are happy to announce the arrival of baby girl #2. Bridget Elaine was born July 19, 2004, at 8 lb 8 oz.  Life is good in Bartlesville, OK, where Jo Ann is an independent sales consultant for a gourmet foods company, in addition to a busy mom to Bridget and Hannah (now 3).

Jim has been working for Foster Wheeler, a worldwide engineering, fabrication and construction company, since 1981.  He was recently named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Foster Wheeler's $1.0 billion global boiler business unit responsible for all project execution including management, engineering, construction and manufacturing worldwide.

Class Reunion opportunities

Call for Trinity University Alumni Volunteers!
Battle of Flowers Parade during Fiesta Week
Friday, April 22

Trinity University is looking for 25 alumni volunteers to walk the parade route and pull the balloon. It is a great way to take part in one of the most popular traditions in San Antonio while spending the day with friends and supporting your alma mater by showing your school spirit! Volunteers receive a free shirt, transportation to and from the staging area and a box lunch the day of the parade.  Please contact Elizabeth Halbert, Alumni Volunteer Coordinator, at Elizabeth.halbert@trinity.edu or 210.999.8435 before Friday, April 1 if you are interested in this fun volunteer opportunity. Death of Louis Burford Higgins:  It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Burford Higgins, a long-time Trinity administrator and former registrar. He died on  January 26.

Mr. Higgins enrolled at Trinity in 1939. He interrupted his education to serve in the United States Air Force during WWII. He returned to Trinity after the war and graduated in 1947 with a B.A. in history. As a student he worked in the Registrar’s Office.  After graduation he joined the Trinity administration as assistant registrar. Later, he was promoted to registrar and served faithfully for 36 years until his retirement in 1983.

Mr. Higgins is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, a former dean of women at Trinity.
