2000 - present Jennifer (Canfield) Brodie, Class of 2006 Matthew Brodie (class of 2004) and Jennifer (Canfield) Brodie (class of 2006) are excited to announce the birth of their daughter, Chelsea Adair Brodie, born on June 22nd, 2009 at 11:16 pm. She weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 21 inches long. We are loving Washington D.C. but miss Texas and hope to be able to move back soon. After completing my Tennessee world tour with a great year serving as a judicial clerk in Memphis, I am back in Knoxville and enjoying newly-married life. Eric South and I were married on August 22, 2009, and I was so happy to have fellow Trinity and Sigma alums Laura Dissen '04, '05 and Alissa Hansen '05 as bridesmaids. Eric and I just returned from an amazing honeymoon trip to the south of France, and I am now on the hunt for an attorney position in Knoxville or Nashville. Any leads would be greatly appreciated! Gretchen (Burger) Vera and Daniel Vera are proud to announce the birth of their daughter Katelyn Rose on August 21st. I am back at Trinity in the Biology Department as a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2009-2010 school year. I would love to hear from any of my Trinity friends living in San Antonio or any planning a visit back to Trinity. My husband and I just moved back to Dayton, OH so he can get his PhD through the Air Force. It's nice to be back in the area and a little closer to my family. We are also excited that we are expecting our second child sometime in March. Scott and I are happy to announce the birth of Zach Chase on July 23, 2009. He came early at 35 weeks but that's a lot better than his older brother who came at 24 weeks. Zach weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and was 19.75 in long. He only spent 8 days in the NICU and is doing really well. Max is happy to have a new toy but can't understand why he can't be rough with him.

1990 - 1999 I married Cydney Allysen Wells on September 12, 2009 at a small ceremony in Dallas, Texas. During our wedding weekend, we were surrounded by family and friends, including numerous Trinity Alumni. Phil Stork and Mike Watson (both '99), along with Layne Loessin and Arastu Janahbin (both '01) served as groomsmen for the wonderful event. We just returned from our relaxing mini-moon in Belize. Cydney and I are currently living in Uptown Dallas, so if you want to re connect or get a drink with us, feel free to send me a note. See you at the 10 yr event. My husband and I welcomed Jane Elizabeth on July 15, 2009. She is a healthy, happy baby girl, and we are adjusting to life with a baby after 7 years of marriage (and asking ourselves why we didn't travel to Europe/go to more movies/eat out more/sleep longer over the last 11 years). I'm fortunate to be able to take 6 months off from my law practice to spend with her, before returning to work part-time in January. Although this isn't groundbreaking news, I wanted to share my preschool's new website with my Trinity friends. If you have a second, check out www.littleredschoolhouseokc.com for kicks and giggles. My kids, Julia (7) and Atticus (5) make several cameo appearances on the site. My husband and I are still living in Hartsville, SC where we recently bought the town's oldest independently owned business... a "Feed and Seed." We've learned a lot about gardening and livestock over the last several months!!! With a little bit of TLC and a lot of time, we are bringing some new life into the old place, adding to that old country store feel. It's been lots of fun. Just after we made the offer on the business, I found out I am pregnant with our second bambino-- due at the end of September. Life's about to get busier than busy! My husband, Aaron, and I are thrilled to welcome Jacob Joseph Segal, born 7/21, 6 lbs 10 oz. Big sister Abby (4) and brother Noah (6) are crazy about him (and so are we). Aaron and I are still working together, both family doctors at Segal Family Medicine in Plano, TX. I am excited to let my Trinity friends know of our new adventure. Beginning in October, I am going to be the Pastor/Head of Staff of Black Mountain Presbyterian Church in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Black Mountain is a small town located outside the gates of Montreat, a PCUSA conference center. It is also about 15 miles from Asheville. My husband Greg will continue his work as a CFP out there. Our children, Hannah and Ryan, are both nervous and excited about the move. We have been here in Irving for the last seven 1/2 years, so it will be tough to say goodbye. This congregation of Woodhaven Presbyterian Church has been loving and gracious and we will miss being a part of its life. But, here we go! Leslie and I are proud to announce the birth of our second daughter, Shelby. Her older sister, Mallory, loves giving kisses and sharing her lollipops. We'll see how long that lasts. My husband David Bates and I welcomed our first child, a boy, Silas Evan Bates-Leoni, on April 14. I'm back at work as the Senior Policy Coordinator for the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, while David works on a book project and takes care of Silas. I wrote a book! |

I have been an ISA certified arborist in the Chicagoland area since 1998. I recently started an organization called, "Friends of Arbor Day". I invite everyone to join. Please go to http://friendsoad.ning.com. You can also visit my business website at http://www.treecareadvisor.com Am now in Year 2 of the Tim James for Governor campaign here in Alabama. We've come a long way, having built a statewide grass-roots organization as well as strong finance committee. Family and I are loving life in Montgomery, especially the warm winters. A nice change from the snow and ice of New Jersey. I was recently promoted from part-time adjunct professor at Webster University, Thailand to permanent part-time professor. I teach English as a foreign language to students from around the world. I would like to hear from Trinity friends.
