Jon Lee joined the Department of Art at Trinity University in 2004. He is currently Assistant Professor and teaches printmaking, papermaking, book structures and drawing. He received his M.F.A. in printmaking, and The Graduate Certificate In Book Studies/Book Arts & Technologies from The University of Iowa. He also received Tamarind Master Printer Certification from Tamarind Institute of Lithography University Of New Mexico.

Professor Lee is active in papermaking and printmaking research, adapting age-old traditions to contemporary uses. His skills as a master craftsman are integral to his creative work as an artist.  A native of South Korea, He has worked as a professional printmaker for eight years, both in Korea and in the United States.

Professor Lee has exhibited widely throughout Europe, South Korea and in the US.  Most recently he has been awarded “A Marfa Moment” a solo exhibition October 2005, and has participated in the 2005 4th Lessedra World Art Print annual in Sofia, Bulgaria. Notably, he participated in the First 2003 Printmaking Biennial at _aRaMoNaSTuDIo_, in New York, the "Iowa Artists" exhibition at the Des Moines Art Center, and in "Making Waves in the Midwest: the Art of Asian Paper," Cedar Rapids Museum of Art
