Trinity Falls to Millsaps in Game Two of Doubleheader

San Antonio - The Tiger baseball team lost the second game of a Saturday doubleheader by the final score of 13-5 against Millsaps College.

Trinity (26-11, 12-3) trailed 6-1 after six innings, and could not keep pace with the 17 hits by Millsaps - six of which were for extra bases.

After both teams scored in the second inning, Millsaps took a 3-1 lead with a two-run third inning and then added a three-run fifth to pull further ahead.

The Tigers did score two runs in both the seventh and eighth, but Millsaps scored seven runs in that time to stay well ahead of the home team.

Steven Ramos collected three hits in the game, while Jeff Claydon was 2-4 with two runs scored.  Evan Jones hit his 22nd double of the season to extend his school record, and John Paillet drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers.

Trinity and Millsaps will finish off the series tomorrow at noon.  The Tigers close the regular season with a Tuesday night game against Howard Payne University.
