Senior Leadership …

Players leave their purses home

Kansas City, Missouri--April 11-14, 2001

Trinity had an awesome showing at Nationals this year, made possible by great senior leadership. Throughout the year, Middle Drew Allan and Right Side Peter Oelschlaeger caused trouble and consistently came late to Thursday practices. Thanks to this solid work ethic, and lots of running due to their tardiness, the Tigers trained long and hard.

Outside Thain Allan did not travel with the team to Nationals, but was a source of constant speculation as to what color hair he would have each week at practice.

Drew Allan demonstrated the finesse of his “judo-chop tip” throughout the season but left his purse at home and decided to bang at Nationals. His fierce temper was kept under control and he managed to escape the tournament without a single flagrant foul.

Peter Oelschlaeger finally took his “meat pops” out of the freezer, just in time for Nationals. Oelschlaeger also orchestrated all the huddle cheers and was the only man capable of such an enormous task (as the team found out at one tournament when Coach Brian Bachman tried to lead the cheer and failed miserably).
