San Marcos, Texas
- Trinity's men's and women's cross country
teams ran very well at the Texas State Invitational, with the men
finishing fourth and the women third among Division I competition.
The Tiger women were one point away
from second place in the meet, despite running without All-Region and
All-SCAC runner Emily Loeffler. D'Ann Arthur finished third
overall in the meet, falling only to a pair of runners from the
University of Texas. First-year Caitlin Masse finished 13th
individually, and Trinity had three other runners in the top 25 - Leda
McDaniel, Kim Weeth, and Jennifer Burn.
On the men's side, Chass Armstrong
led the way with a personal record time of 26:54.34, which placed him
sixth individually. Bryant Wright also finished in the top 10 with
a time of 27:12.78 - good for an eighth place finish. Armstrong's
time puts him 11th in school history on the Top Times list.
