September 1, 2007 Cross Country Teams Open Season With Strong Showing in UIW Relays

Live Oak, Texas - Trinity's men's and women's cross country team both opened the season in style on Saturday, performing very well at the Incarnate Word Relays. Trinity's Bryant Wright and Zach Brush won the men's event in a time of 33:40 combined. On the women's side, Leda McDaniel and Kim Weeth combined for a time of 25:02.2 to take second place overall. In addition to McDaniel and Weeth in second, Caitlin Masse and Alison Hoing finished third, Tasha Lovell and Jennifer Burn finished fourth, and Emily Loeffler and Alisa Dill were sixth. Jenna Price and D'Ann Arthur also finished eighth as a team. Chass Armstrong and Adam Cribb finished seventh, while Jeremy Daum and Ryan Luby were tied for eighth. Both teams travel to San Marcos, Texas next weekend for the Texas State Invitational. The following week will be an open week in the schedule, then the teams travel to Abilene for the Texas Little State Championships. |
