Oliver is one of the few remaining Xargamaxodons, a rare type of
robot still surviving after the catastrophic technological crash in
Y2K. He lives among us showing no signs of his true identity except
in brief spurts of athletic and intellectual superiority. Since he
does not require sleep, Oliver spends nights acquiring information
on neuroscience in an effort to understand the human brain.
Fascinated with the living world, Oliver spends all his days
outside, where he climbs higher and hikes faster than any of our
kind.
Danielle Dory:
Danielle is a model T-201 Terminator, sent back in time by the
dreaded SkyNet to destroy Sarah Connor’s E-Harmony account. After
completing her mission, Danielle was amazed by the beauty of the
natural world in our time. While waiting for the impending robot
apocalypse, she enjoys sinking her fingers into some gnarly crags
and jumping into stagnant pools of water while she canyoneers. We
hope that one day Danielle will realize that it is possible for man
and machine to coexist peacefully.
Jessa Hutchins:
Not much is known of Jessa Hutchins since she came to Trinity in the
Fall of 2008. Legend tells us that she grew up with the mountain
lions of the New Mexican wilderness and is part woman, part desert
wolf. Since then she has accomplished the best in both the worlds of
man and animal. She is not only a prospect for the new president of
the university and PhD chemist but she still manages to hunt all her
own food right here on Trinity's campus. Besides all these
adventures she enjoys water cooler talks, clogging and of course
leading OUTDOOR REC TRIPS.
Amy Oliver:
One of the last mermaids around, was born in the
Red Sea and was one with the fish and coral. Looking for
new adventures and her first venture to land, she swam and dove her
way to America,
only to be even more mystified by the beautiful mountains that
awaited her. While she will always be a natural in water, she's
gotten exceptionally used to walking on her legs, and is now the
only mermaid in the world to have hiked and backpacked mountains as
well. Who knows if she will ever return permanently to the
ocean?
Ken Rogge:
Gifted with eleven fingers, Ken began tying
fisherman’s knots on his own umbilical cord during his second
trimester in the womb. He spent nine years of his life on a deserted island of Manihiki
raising chickens and hunting coconut crabs after he fell out of a
plane on a family trip. Deprived of his castaway lifestyle in
college, Ken often sleeps on the Prassel lawn and bathes in creeks
around San Antonio.Rumor has it Ken’s chest hair has been scientifically
engineered to stay moist and shiny even during the camel treks in
the Sahara Desert which happen to be one of his favorite pastimes.
