Job Description
Control Desk Attendant
Description:
The primary function of the control desk attendant is to issue
equipment to holders of valid ID's for free-time recreation and ensure all
those using the Bell Center facilities follow the policy in place. A secondary responsibility is to see that a
safe environment is provided for all users.
Qualifications:
1. Status as an
enrolled Trinity student.
2. Strong
communication skills and a positive attitude.
3. Must be able
to lift 40 pounds.
Preferred
Qualifications:
General
Responsibilities:
1. Check
ID's. Users must have current, valid student ID, faculty/staff card, or alumni
card.
2. Be
knowledgeable of activities, programs, and policies associated with the
operation of the Bell Center.
3. Issue
equipment to those people with the proper identification and file the paperwork
in the appropriate spot.
4. Receive
checked-out equipment and assess any damage that may have occurred during use.
If damage has occurred or equipment is not returned, the proper paperwork
should be left in the Assistant Athletic Director’s inbox.
5. Keep
control desk area neat and orderly. Make sure equipment is put back in proper
place upon return.
6. Enforce
all rules, regulations, and policies of the Bell Center.
7. Maintain
a safe environment for users of the Bell Center.
8. Report any
broken equipment to the Assistant Athletic Director
9. Being a role
model to users of the facility, prior to leaving your shift you are to do a
pick up all weight in the weight room.
10. Maintaining
the cleanliness of the equipment and facility
11. Performing basic first aid and completing
accident and incident reports as necessary
12. Fill
out necessary accident and incident report forms completely.
13. Monitor
and assess Webster’s Sports Forum, Sam’s Gym, Racquetball courts, weight room
and Cardio room every hour.
14. Other
duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director.
