Trinity Receiver Riley Curry Selected to Play in US All-Star Game
iger leading receiver Riley Curry, who has moved into Trinity's top five in both career receptions and career receiving yards, has been selected to play in the Tazon de Estrellas on December 19.

Tigers Fall to NAIA Azusa Pacific in Lopsided Game
The Trinity football team finished off its non-conference schedule with a 55-27 loss to NAIA's Azusa Pacific University on Saturday afternoon at E.M. Stevens Stadium.  Chris Baer had 178 yards rushing and receiving in the loss, while Robert Davidson had 243 yards passing and two touchdowns.

Two Trinity Tiger football players earned SCAC Player of the Week honors for their performances in last weekend's 40-0 win over Sewanee: University of the South.  Jonathan Alexander earned defensive honors, while Trella earned the award for special teams.

Trinity's football team lost to the defending SCAC Champion Millsaps Majors on Saturday afternoon in Jackson, Mississippi.  The Tigers failed to score an offensive touchdown, but did avoid a shutout with an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Caleb Urban.

After opening the 2009 season with a 3-0 record, the Tiger football team has been ranked 18th in the American Football Coaches' Association's first poll of the year.

Tigers Earn Impressive Win at Rhodes on Saturday

Trinity's football team earned an impressive 40-19 win at Rhodes College on Saturday afternoon, forcing six turnovers and enjoying a record-setting performance by first-year kicker Garrett Biel.  Biel had four field goals in the game.  Patrick Dickinson was 18-22 for 265 yards and three touchdowns.

Evan Reville Named to Team of the Week

Trinity senior defensive back Evan Reville has been selected to the Team of the Week, following the team's 22-21 win at Texas Lutheran.  Reville's key fourth-quarter fumble recovery and 31-yard return set the Tigers up for the narrow victory.

Garrett Biel Named SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Freshman kicker Garrett Biel has been named the SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week after kicking the game-winning field goal on Saturday at Texas Lutheran.  Biel's 34-yard field goal gave Trinity a 22-21 win, and also tied him for a school record.

The Trinity football team kicked a 34-yard field goal as time expired to edge Texas Lutheran University 22-21 in Seguin, Texas, on Saturday night.  First-year kicker Garrett Biel drove the winning score through the uprights for the Tigers.

Trinity Survives Wild Finish to Beat McMurry in Season Opener
The Tiger football team held off a late comeback by McMurry University to take a 31-26 win in the 2009 opener in Abilene, Texas.  After Trinity's offense fumbled in the final minute, Al Furlow stripped and recovered the ball at midfield to seal the win.

Trinity's football team, which lost a game when Colorado College announced it would be dropping its football program next year, has filled out the 2009 schedule with a home game against Azusa Pacific (CA) University on October 31.
