San
Antonio – Trinity's football team received
more recognition on Saturday night, as players and coaches involved in
the Trinity Miracle Play were invited to be honored at halftime of the
San Antonio Spurs game. During halftime the
players and coaches stood on the court as the Trinity Miracle Play was
replayed for the crowd and details of the events were read aloud.
The play, which was named the Time Magazine
# 1 Sports Moment of the Year, was selected as the Pontiac Game Changing
Performance of the Year and $100,000 scholarship winner.
Trinity won the SCAC Championship this season and
advanced to the NCAA Playoffs. The conference title was the 14th
in the past 15 seasons, and the team made its 11th postseason
appearance. |
