• Won NCAA Division I Team Championship in Athens, Ga., with a record 36 points.
• First non-California team to capture the title in 12 years.
• Dick Stockton won the NCAA Singles Championship.
• Brian Gottfried was singles and doubles runner-up (with Paul Gerken).
• Bob McKinley reached the NCAA singles quarterfinals. Awarded the Osuna Memorial Trophy for sportsmanship.
• Coach Clarence Mabry took the Tigers to the title match for the third time.
