  • Trinity director of intramurals for 33 years, from 1967 through 2000. Also was Associated Professor in Physical Education and Athletics.
  • Received National Service Awards from National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) 1984, 1989, 1992, 2002.
  • NIRSA Texas State Director, 1975-1976, and regional vice president, 1977-1978.
  • Editor of Flag and Touch Football Rules and Officials Manual, 1983-1998.
  • Trinity’s intramurals sportsmanship award named Jim Potter Award, 1980.
  • Received Trinity’s Outstanding Professor Award, 1971.
  • Member of Southwest Football Officials Association since 1967.
  • Officiated for the Southwest Conference and Lone Star Conference for 16 years.
  • Conducted football officials clinics for the U.S. Army in Germany for eight years.
  • Has timed the Alamo Bowl football game (San Antonio) since 1993.
  • Played basketball for Trinity for four years (leading scorer in 1962) and baseball for three.
