Alvin Beal...Quarterback...
San Antonio, Texas...1952-1954

Alvin Beal of San Antonio was a Tiger quarterback from 1952-1954. He was selected for the Little All-America First Team in 1954.

Beal passed for 2,943 yards and 29 touchdowns over his collegiate career. He held the record for most touchdown passes thrown in a game with five, until 2001 (first tied in 1998), and is still just one of four Tiger players to throw five or more touchdowns in a single game.  Beal is fourth all-time in passing yards at Trinity.

Beal's team won 16 straight games over a two-year period. The 1954 team was the first undefeated squad in school history. Beal earned the Bachelor of Science in physical education in 1955.
