The late Chuck McKinley, a native of St. Louis and the older brother of Bob McKinley, was an All-American in 1963. He amassed a singles record of 48-2 while at Trinity.
McKinley won the Wimbledon Singles Championship in 1963 and was the No. 1 player in the world. He was a member of the U.S. Davis Cup Team six times, from 1960-1965, including the championship team of 1963.
McKinley was inducted into the ITA Men's Tennis Collegiate Hall of Fame and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. He received the Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1964. McKinley died in August 1986 of a brain tumor.
