San
Antonio –
Due to the probable weather-related issues surrounding Hurricane Ike's
arrival to the Texas coast this weekend, Trinity's athletics department
has made numerous schedule changes and cancellations.
The Tiger
football, men's soccer, and volleyball teams will all host Texas
Lutheran University Thursday night on Trinity's campus.
Trinity's
men's soccer team was originally scheduled to take on Texas Lutheran at
7:00 p.m. on Friday night, but will instead play at 6:00 p.m. on
Thursday.
The Tiger
volleyball team's Trinity River City Classic was a two-day weekend
tournament that featured - in addition to Texas Lutheran - St. Thomas,
Carthage, and Linfield. Trinity will still take on Texas Lutheran,
though their match will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday
was supposed to be a road matchup for Trinity's football team, but
instead, the game will be played on Thursday at E.M. Stevens Stadium.
The team will travel to Seguin, Texas, next season to balance the
schedule. The game will be webcast and videocast live over the
internet. Check the football Web site for the relevant links.
Trinity's
women's soccer team is scheduled to face Claremont College at 5:00 p.m.,
and was originally scheduled to take on Hardin-Simmons at 7:00 p.m. on
Saturday. The Hardin-Simmons game will not be played on Saturday, but
the Tigers may try and play a modified schedule Thursday and Friday.
The Tiger men's and women's
cross country teams will make a decision soon regarding their scheduled
trip to College Station, Texas, for the Texas A&M Invitational. |
